Judas 2.0 OR Another day in life

As we walked to Jerusalem,
The men, they shaved often,
And I sold them the alum,
To make their skin soften.

Outside Jerusalem, bright and sunny,
After taking all their money,
I asked of them,
Why they needed to dress up,
To meet their prophet,
While handing me, my neat profit.

Son of God they said,
Would be very well bred,
And disciples,
Couldn't be rotten apples,
An ideal brood for an ideal man.

So I shook them by their hands,
Bought meself some clothes, all new,
And looked dapper,
While they whipped a poor pauper,
That christian, born a jew.

Astro-poetry

Summer night,
All alight,
In glory and in joy.
While the Sun,
She keeps on,
Fusing nucleii..

Morning time,
News for a dime,
Coverage for dashing casanova.
While far in space,
Some catch trace,
Of colliiding Supernova..

Friend of yours,
Is facing fears,
To make sure he is grounded.
While all around,
In scientific shroud,
Gravity has some astounded.

Explaining all now,
With help from Godot,
Universe for dummies, simplified thus.
While toiling hard,
At scope and chart,
Some labour on, in pure science flux.

In art circles,
An artists pinnacle,
Sees him centerstage.
While some deft,
Measuring red shift,
Gives clues to universe's breadth.

Not just in prose or verse,
Center of the universe,
Some claim to be.
While spaces' geometry,
Forbids us to see,
Universal golfs' starting tee.

Rapt attention,
During dinner conversation,
Over man's contradicting qualities.
While more than a generation,
Of photon emmission,
Shows wave particle duality.

Running out of time,
As you feed in a dime,
To get your rush hour ticket.
While time herself,
And her secret pelf,
Is behind dimensions picket.

World Affairs

This is a reaction to some posts on the 26/11 attack and other numero-nymous attacks including but not limited to men with guns, men with rocket launchers, men with gamchas, men with vermillion thumbs and no love for alcohol, men... bah!

The world is about to end. And people are playing jingalika jinga, doing whatever they want! I am considering settling in New Zealand, but am afraid i'll have to show a lot of zeal. Sweden then, perhaps. Yes, I was saying the world is about to end, but am not in any particular hurry. No general hurry either, because......(down-arrow symbol) I was told by some sources at google that the earth is on its last legs. Which threw me off for a while as I had always seen the earth as a spherical object doing elliptical turnabouts the sun. Legs was news to me, but then as I came to terms with the usage of metaphor I digested the facts - We have only about one tenth of our lifespan left before the sun gets too hot and fries the beejeesus out of us. (beejeesus being water here) About 500 million years. Which is frightfully long and will eventually turn out to be a bore of the most gigantamous propotions. So, like I was saying in no hurry, people are doing whatever they want and as you can see I am a nihilist.

Blah..

If no one can know you,
That is true of the other too.
And when one knows,
This truth, it shows,
Because then, what you see is exactly what you take.

Supernova

As he tossed and turned in his fevered attempt at sleep, his thoughts must have circled around how she had gone away for too long the last time around.
Earlier that day, he had woken to a virus addled morning and had found her gone. She would return soon, he had been told.

Now while sleep, set to the pleasant drone of a hurriedly imagined story took over, he floundered in the dark for my face and on finding it said, in a little boy voice "Don't leave me".
My heart broke into a hundred pieces and slid down my cheek as a solitary tear. Arjun, my 2 year old son slept hugging me all night as I wished that the joy he will transform into when Mama returns from her Bombay work trip tomorrow, envelopes his entire life.

eGo aWayyyyy...

Will you trippers remember,
That if I weren't dealing out,
Cards with my mug for joker face,
The laughs would just be on the other,
You, dear Little Tommy Stout,
Finding it hard to keep apace.

- written in mild irritation after meeting some daftness, as usual at a party just now :) this is the one time I'm explaining! :)
